Who
The Common Cats are a team of creative thinkers and doer's working in film and television.
Melissa Osgood
Melissa is a talented producer currently line producing film projects for NZGreenroom Ltd. In addition to her film work she is the National Communications Advisor for CCS Disability Action and is heavily involved in her local community theatre sector, set designing and acting. Melissa spent many years producing, directing and production managing for Attitude Pictures, Sticky TV, Treehut Productions, Patangaroa Entertainment, Mika Haka Foundation, Maori Television, 90 Seconds TV, and a number of independent short films.
Enny Benzonelli
Enny is a sort after independent freelancer busy managing multiple media projects. Having expert skills as an editor, web designer, producer and director his artistic skills and magnificent eye for detail make him unique. Enny has worked on feature films, short films, webseries, indie productions, commercial and corporate projects. He collaborates with TVNZ, Sky, Prime and has recently joined Global Spirit Films.
About
Melissa and Enny created Common Cats in 2011 after training together in Film and TV. Each with unique talents, they saw an opportunity to collaborate, making each other better and producing great media.
Projects currently in pre production include a dark and intense short film, called "Jimmy", and a mini series about a child's imagination. Projects in production are a television series called, Xtreme Maxing, get a glimps of Max and his antics here.
Max Messi
Max Messi is a bright witty comedy about, Max Messi. A clever, cheeky puppet boy creating havoc, mayhem and downright ridiculous disasters with whatver he touches. Max wants to be a talk show host and uses his charm to convince unsuspecting guests to fix his mishaps that won't necessarily have a solution.
Big Pot Little Pot
We love puppets and wanted to create a family friendly series that kids would love and parents would approve of. We commissioned puppet master Sarah Burren to build Max. In 2012 we shot a pilot episode titled Big Pot Little Pot. Check out the full episode below.
Xtreme Maxing
After Big Pot Little Pot we wanted to experiment with Max in his own world, hence the creation of Xtreme Maxing, where YouTuber Max shares his funny experiences. Xtreme Maxing is currently in pre production as a television series.
